Thank you for visiting my web site. My name is "Sandy" and I have been an animal lover all my life. For more than 20 years, I have shared my life with some wonderful dogs and puppies, and feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion for companion dogs with other dog lovers.

My husband and I have been breeding, showing, training & obedience trials for about 20 years. Our daughter "Kim" has been a BIG inspiration and a huge help with our breeding program.We know that companionship is the most important for all animals and humans and that is where our work has given us the most rewards.

The Tails Wagon Homestead!

We live on a 20 acre hobby farm in the scenic, rural setting of Dalbo, Minnesota, where our dogs and puppies have plenty of room to romp and play in the fresh country air, surrounded by corn and soy bean fields. It is the home of all our companions, strays and rescued animals. We realize that there are many animals that need a safe haven and we open our dogs to them. We know that we can't do it all - for every animal rescued it is one less that is suffering and that makes us keep doing it.

We welcome visitors to come and visit by appointment. We are open 7 days a week and schedule appointments/visitations from 9:00am to 8:00pm. We accept Paypal; Paypal payments can be paid with a credit card (Paypal payments add a 4% fee to the balance, that is what Paypal charges me to use the service), US Postal Money orders and cash for payment . We Do Not take personal checks for payment. I am sorry for the inconvenience, we make no variances from this policy.

Please do not bring your pets (dogs/puppies/cats/etc.) when coming to visit. Your children and all family members and friends are welcome.

**Deposits are Non-Refundable**

When you place a deposit on a puppy it is non-refundable. You never loose the deposit, it is applied to the price of the puppy and can be applied to any litter. It will never be refunded.

DESIGNER DOG BREED PERSONALITIES

Designer/hybrid breeds are a result of purposefully crossbreeding and they are becoming more popular. Designer/hybrid breed puppies are adorable and many are more stable than their purebred counterparts.

Dogs with mixed ancestry are more likely to escape the hereditary diseases often passed on within pure breeds. Designer/hybrid breeds are bred from a large gene pool, and are far less likely to have inherited genetic problems.
Some critics say it is hard to judge what temperament a Designer/hybrid breed puppy will develop. But if you know what the parents are like, you have a good idea. Whether they’re aggressive or gentle? Nervous or calm? Playful or reserved?
Well-cared-for Designer/hybrid breeds are often known to live longer, healthier lives than many purebreds. However, they’re always exceptional. I’ve known many purebreds to outlive Designer/hybrid bred given the fact both breeds are raised in the same environment. For Designer/hybrid breeds, specific care needs must be patiently explored.
Keep in mind that although your designer/hybrid puppy may in color strongly resemble a certain breed it is still a designer/hybrid puppy and has both parents' genetics. Some believe that if your designer/hybrid puppy resembles in color a certain breed that it is more that breed: this is a false assumption.
There are no standards for the hybrid/designer breeds.

YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN BREED BY CROSSBREEDING: It's true. You can create a new breed, breeding two dogs of the same breed. Emerging breeds such as Labradoodles, Golden doodles, and Morkies are the results of such cross breeding.

Breeds such as the Australian Kelpie and Cattle dog, came from cross breeding working dogs to suit the hot, dry climate of the Australian Outback. In fact many purebred breeds are the result of crossing breeds.

Cost:
A purebred dog is going to cost more, no question, due to the limited top quality dogs in each breed that are used for breeding. If you are buying a pure bred dog that is NOT expensive, you should be questioning why it is so cheap?

Summary:
In the end, there are reasons for choosing Designer/hybrid breeds over Purebreds, but it's got to be your choice.
